In case any of you didn't hear, the autopsy report is back, and his death is being deemed an accidental overdoseNot that an intentional overdose would really be any less sad, but there's something somehow even worse about the idea that he didn't want to die

I don't understand how they can determine it was accidental. Is that just because there wasn't a note? It seems to me that if you took all six of those drugs at once, you'd have some idea what was going to happen...weird.

I think it's not necessarily that he took all those pills together at one time. Like, if he took a hard core pain killer a week before his death, it could still leave traces in his body. I'm guessing it was more like a build up of all those drugs that finally combined to be fatal. They said it was most likely that his respiration just slowed and slowed and stopped while he was asleep. While that's kind of the ideal peaceful way to die (go to sleep and never wake up), it's awful to imagine it happening from combined trace amounts of drugs that happen to be in your body.
