It's philosophy. Philosophy of Psychology.

You see, it's about death. Or rather, the simultaneous desire and revolt of life AND death. The tension is then illustrated with the planet that turns into a superhero, forced to beat up itself in order to rid itself of villains residing UPON it. Ah yes.

Note VAMPIRES. When it's VAMPIRES (especially when typed in all caps) it has to do with death. Or rather, something that's at once life yet not life but retains conscious intelligence. You know, like zombies except they're still in control of themselves. Note the multiple references regarding the appearance and semblance of death yet the retention of life (Death on the surface of the moon yet life in the center, VAMPIRES, et cetera).

No really, I could go on but I'd have to write a book. I don't want to write a book.
