Don't listen to what moral philosophers have to tell you about piety. Piety comes from the heart; You can't buy salvation with what you do because God isn't a vending machine.
Piety is not what you do but what dwells within your heart that God loves.
God knows what's in there. He doesn't care for shows that people put on or the flapping of lips.
