Giles Corey was one of the last of the unfortunate Salem puritans to be executed for witchcraft. After roughly a dozen people succumbed easily to torture and confessed to crimes they didn't commit, Corey was accused and pressed to death. The 80 year old man was placed between two planks and slowly killed as, over the course of two days, church leaders placed large stones on top of him. His last words were "more weight."
