“Sorry, I just don’t work that way. Get it?”
His world crumbled, he wished that he was somewhere else now, just not here. He looked into the brown eyes of that man, that man whom he had a crush on since the time he went to the café. For someone so confident in photo shoots and to his endearing fans, he doesn’t seem to be in his most confident state for now. It took him so long to ponder to profess his love for someone.
He hated this feeling now, that piercing feeling, that somewhat has numbed his heart, yet it didn’t hurt. Perhaps the blow was so sharp, like a scalpel knife.
With another look, the man opened his blue umbrella and left the shade, disappearing into the misty rain.
The lanky bassist leaned against the cold concrete as his legs felt weak; he slowly slipped down and sat on the ground, not caring if his thin black top and leather jacket rolled up, revealing pale flesh. His unnatural blue eyes stared into the misty scene, eyes watering, yet he willed himself to not let them fall like the rain.
No, it didn’t work as his tears fell on the already wet crimson titled ground at the entrance of the café. Perhaps he thought that crying with the sky can help him relief his pain. However, it still hurt hell.
At this time, he heard faint sounds of footsteps, pattering in the little puddles formed by the cervices of the tiles.
He squinted to stare at this person; he was clad in a black top, covered with a jacket with white and gold studs, his tight and washed jeans enhanced the length of his thin legs topping off with brown shoes. He recognized the teased brown hair with blonde highlights which accented his fair skin and sharp features.
‘Tora? What is he doing here?’ He thought.
You have my heart
And we'll never be worlds apart
May be in magazines
But you'll still be my star
He carried a transparent umbrella, his normally stern expression softened as he gazed the bassist with his dark eyes, drinking in the sight of his tear stained face.
Baby cause in the dark
You can't see shiny cars
And that's when you need me there
With you I'll always share
Because
When the sun shines, we’ll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be a friend
Took an oath I'ma stick it out till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
“Saga-kun, you can stand under my umbrella,” his deep voice said softly.
These fancy things, will never come in between
You're part of my entity, here for infinity
When the war has took it's part
When the world has dealt it's cards
If the hand is hard, together we'll mend your heart
The tall guitarist walked into the shade, and stretched his hand, motioning Saga to hold his hand.
You can run into my arms
It's okay don't be alarmed
Come into me
There's no distance in between our love
So go on and let the rain pour
I'll be all you need and more
However, Saga didn’t take his hand. He just stood up and crushed himself against Tora. The impact sent the umbrella on the tiled floor and the both of them out of the shade and under the rain.
It's raining
Ooh baby it's raining
Baby come into me
Come into me
It's raining
Oh baby it's raining
No words were exchanged when Saga sat in Tora’s car, not even when he took a shower in his apartment, not even when he curled in the guitarist’s strong arms, letting slumber claim him.
Sometimes, all you need is an umbrella to mend someone’s heart.
