Big in Japan

Writers Guild aside, these are not exactly heady days for organized labor. However, the Red Sox seem to be out to buck that trend by securing travel stipends for their coaches during the upcoming trip to Japan. Even the Philadelphia Inquirer, which is normally grouchy about everything non-Eagles (including their own baseball team) thinks they did the right thing So, yeah, while professional baseball coaches still make more than most people in the US, and $40K does seem more than adequate for a week in Japan, I still tip my hat to Youk for continuing to be an all-around good guy.

I also think that, after this trip, Jonathan Papelbon will have an enormous fan base in Japan.

On a completely different note, I was chatting with a (much more socially well-adjusted) friend yesterday who has never heard of the concept of being pwned. So I need some examples that can adequately explain the concept. these three images are my personal favorites, but I'm sure there's some equally great ones out there that I've missed.
