I remember the times my mom say that I'll suffer in the future when she sees the times I get upset, remember the times J made me realise that I obviously do love you more than you do, the times when I try to hold back all the tears but when I can't, I let them go but if you ask me for specific events, I mostly can't remember them all because I choose you. I choose you over all the nonsense, over all that hold us back. I fight, I stop letting things slide, I didn't let any undercurrent get past my naked eye, I confronted my fears, I confronted for the first time in my life, because I choose you, choose you over all that stand in our way. I listened to what people say with an open heart and I still choose you. I know things might be difficult but I never chose to give up because I choose you. Sometimes, I struggle with the things you say but I try to think of it from your perspective, I internalize it all, I try to understand why you say the things you do and I try not to pick a fight with you and just tell you I love you even though I don't agree with your methods, because I choose you. Sometimes I'm unhappy but I'm happy at the same time, it's still some sort of a sick twisted thing that I feel lucky I get to be unhappy, that I can love so much because I choose you. You're everything that's right and everything that can go wrong and at moments when I struggle, with my limits and with being a blackhole, I stop and think about how much I love you, that the more I do, the more it hurts but I still choose you. I choose you not because you chose me or because I wanted to, but because I don't know how to choose anything else, I can no longer recognize any other life that I've registered with you, because despite it all, I'm happy when I'm with you, because we're not perfect and I choose to love you for who you are, and for who you don't know you really are.
