yesterday was my roommate's birthday. i had just put the cake i was making her into the oven when her mum turned up with a professional store bought cake... so we had cake twice last night, once with singing candles and once without. all in all a good evening of baked goods.
i miss my cat. i know i've been saying this a lot lately, but i really miss him. i miss his greeting every time i come home and the fact that he thinks sleeping on my knees is completely acceptable. i also miss chicago, though i like being down town here, i would commute if it was possible...
