In response to my last entry... for St Patrick's Day, I ended up going to Big White with some friends. We got there around 10pm, hung out at the hostel with some people and at 11pm Benson said "We're going to the barrrrr" but we didn't want to pay the 10$ cover at Snowshow Sam's so we went to a different littler bar called Raakel's or some strange spelling. We were only there for 45 minutes or so, I thought it was more like
two hours but I was drunk and dancing all over with Marnie and Benson. If anyone has ever seen Benson dance, well, you will understand why there were a half-dozen people videotaping him on the dance floor that night. Yikes. I will miss Marnie when she goes back to Australia in April. She even gave me a little clip-on koala holding a boomerang.

Anyway, we left the bar and were about to go to the condo that Marnie's parents were renting for the week when mister mister sees that the car is in very rough shape (something about the alternator? I was sleeping in the backseat so don't ask me) and we need to head down the hill right now. I had to work at 9am anyway. I had brought a bag with a change of clothes, a novel I had to read for English and my toothbrush stuffs but he didn't think we could make it up the hill back to the hostel so there goes that option for the morning. I guess we drove down the mountain between 50 and 100km/hr in neutral, the windshield wipers were not working and it was pouring rain, and I was tightly wrapped up in dirty greasy orange coveralls I had found in the backseat because the windows were rolled down (no defrost, either). Oh and when he had backed out, he hit the cement barrier in the parkade and the Sprint has a huge dent in the fender along with some yellow scratches of paint. Niiice. So I slept in my clothes, woke up and went to work for a few hours at the coffeehouse during the film festival and I met some neat people but I was so so so tired.

Also, in my last post when I said I could smell bacon... the next day I opened the keyboard drawer (where I keep books and notes and things) and found a plate with scrambled eggs and a few slices of bacon... ... ... from four days earlier. And when I went to take it into the kitchen, mister mister said NO NO DON'T! and he ate it!!! Eeew. Starving college student at his best, let me tell you. In other news, I should write when I'm drunk more often. Three weeks until classes are over! I still have to find a job (or two).
