Tenel Ka
Timeframe: After Invincible

Door
She orders her servants and bodyguards away for a moment’s reprieve. Shutting the large door to her bedroom, she relishes the silence and dips into the cool refreshment the Force offers her. While no longer a Jedi officially, she keeps her sanity by meditating as often as she can, even if it’s for a few seconds.
She resists the urge to stretch out to her daughter. It is a constant battle within her to fully place trust in the Solos’ ability to raise Allana. She doesn’t doubt their parenting skills, but is simply jealous they have the responsibility and not her.
Window
Tenel Ka looks down at the large rock. It was the same one she had been sitting on when Jacen returned to her after traveling the stars for five years. That afternoon seems like another lifetime ago, despite the fact that it was only six or so years. She wonders if she could talk to the version of herself then if she would warn the younger Queen Mother not to take Jacen Solo as a paramour. Would she be willing to change the course of history and sacrifice Allana’s existence in exchange for billions of lives across the galaxy?
Roof
She briefly closes her eyes and drowns out the bickering voices of her advisors. Instead of being in yet another meeting where her conniving relatives attempted to grab what power they can, she imagines it’s half a lifetime ago. She’s standing on top of the grand and ancient Massassi temple on Yavin IV. From the roof of the megalithic structure she takes in the breathtaking sight of jungle stretching out in every direction. She feels the light warm her skin and takes a deep breath of the humid air. Collecting herself, she opens her eyes and returns to the meeting.
Walls
She rarely takes the time when walking through the Great Hall to look at the portraits that hang on the walls. Pictures of Queen Mothers and the centuries worth of Hapan history associated with them look down on her. When she first claimed the throne she felt their eyes on her, judging her actions to see if she was worthy of her title. Now she ignores them, fully confident in her abilities that her mother and father, Teneniel and Isolder, passed on to her during her upbringing. No longer does she feel the weight of the various crowns she wears.
Floor
She looks out at the hundreds of beings in the ballroom. It’s the first grand fete to be thrown since the Hapans believe they lost their little princess. She gazes at the faces that fill the room, only some familiar, and wonder what they think of her. Her popularity increased with her subjects after the loss of Allana, but only marginally. The numbers probably showed wishes for wiping out the royal line in hopes of new power instead of mourning the loss of a daughter. Looks from some mirror her grandmother’s voice in her head: “You need a new heir”.
