I'm not trying to be conceited here but I am the funniest, wittiest, cleverest, smelliest, original out of control motherfucker that I know (you wouldn't guess by reading my journal). Whenever I engage someone in conversation for >= 60 seconds, no matter whether they're an old friend or someone who just met me, I make them laugh.
I love making people laugh, I'm good at it and I'll go out of my way to do it, but I'm tired of it.
Not making people laugh mind you, but the fact that no one else goes out of their way to make ME laugh.
I'm not saying I don't laugh at what other people come up with, but I'm not the explicit target, the speaker doesn't judge the success or failure of the joke on whether or not I laugh my ass off. Maybe it sounds selfish, but I just want someone to exert that type of mental effort on me. Make me laugh with no goal in mind, no reward for yourself. Make me laugh to make me laugh.
