Sorry for not replying to this sooner, I meant to and then promptly got distraction by pastries.

I'll be in Vancouver around the 29th or 30th of December, and then I start work on the 2nd of January.

You should definitely come out, even if it's just for a weekend, Vancouver is an amazing city.

even if it's only for a weekend, i'll be coming out. Part of the new ryan is to travel more to visit friends and family. In february I'm doing Montreal and Detroit, then in June/july i'm doing Newfoundland. Fort MacMurray and Vancouver are definitely on the radar.
