"Leave the light on...I'll never give up on you."

For the second day in a row I woke up around 1pm and was very pleased with myself for doing so. Though today I awoke to my brother pounding on the door and then barging in.

"Are you here!?!?!"

Yes.

"What are you doin'?!?!"

Sleeping and getting ready to shoot you.

"Oh...well I brought Tammy and Aaron over to see your apartment."

Let me get dressed.

Gotta love him. He knocked on my door like he was the damn police with a warrant. Advice to everyone that comes to visit me here; PLEASE USE THE DOOR BELL!!! I normally have music on and don't hear people knocking. But I did hear him this morning.

I went to my first Park Board meeting today and it really was a waste of time.

Mom called and wanted me to come pick her up at work because her car was "smoking" when she got to work this morning. Around 9:40pm I got down to Greenfield and went inside. Soon after I watched as mom was approached by a man who decided to tell her all the intimate details of he and his estranged wive's love life. The whole story culminated with him having to get out of bed to take their 14 year old son to the hospital to get treated for a burn. His question? He wanted someone to look at it and see if it was bad enough to be treated at the hospital. Unfortunately the people who work in triage cannot tell you if your sick/hurt/dumb enough to see a doctor. Fortunately EMT Wright was there. I beckoned the man outside and after stopping him from telling me his life story I told him of my credentials and offered to let him know if his son needed to be seen in the ER. His son removed a wet paper towel he had been holding over it and showed me a very minor, albeit half dollar sized, burn. I directed them to the nearest drug store and told them to get some guaze and cover it. Keep it dry. Don't pop blisters when they form and stop putting water on it. He thanked me and then began to tell me of his wife infidelity to which I replied "Well you'd better go before Wal-Greens closes."

People are idiots.

After it was all said and done it felt good to help out mom, and at work!

On my drive to pick up mom I decided since it was raining, and the temp was holding steady at 68 I would go for a run when I got home.

I did about 3 miles. I was soaked when I got done but it really was fun. I don't get the pleasure out of just running that I used to. But running with a twist seemed to be the key, at least for tonight.

I think I'll get up early enough to go work out at the station, run there and back, before work.
