"I like your pants around you feet..."

Today I went and signed up for classes for the Spring '05 semester of the local Ivy Tech. I know most of you were under the impression that I would be attending USI but I changed my mind. I've changed my mind for a few reasons.
A) They wanted nearly $3000 for what I can get at Ivy Tech for $936.
2) Were this December of 2003 and I was tired of Pendleton and needed to get away I would be at USI but this isn't last year. This is 2004 after 7 months of Iraq. I've been "away" so that takes care of that part of the equation.
3) The money spent on travel and moving things alone was nearly enough to bankrupt me. Coupled with the idea that I would only be down there for 1 or 2 semesters.

So this is the choice I've made. I'll be staying with gandolf414 and working Thursdays and Fridays for the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance. I'll also be swinging a 24 shift starting at 5am on Sundays for Rural/Metro. Technically I'm working part time but I'll have over 40 hours a week in just 3 days.

I also got quite a bit of my shopping done for Christmas today. And I managed to find a garage door opener for mom and dad.

I've going to a wedding this weekend and wearing my PEA dress uniform for the first time since we got them. I'm interested to see how it looks on me.

In other news: I keep having dreams where I get shot. Its very odd. I had the first one the last week we were at Abu Ghraib and have continued to have about one a week. In last night's I took two to the chest though I drove myself to the hospital. I'm not frightened in these dreams. I don't wake up sweating or screaming just clutching the area where I was injured. I don't really consider them nightmares just really odd. The weirdest thing is some of these dreams take place in Iraq and others in places around Pendleton. Again, odd.
