I'm declaring this my last LiveJournal post from Iraq. All my bags are packed. I'm ready to go...NOW!
We are definitely leaving in the next 12-18 hours. Soon I'll be in Kuwait, where I'll try to post, but most likely we will only be there for about a day. So if I don't post just wait about 48 hours and try calling my on my cell phone. Its all charged and ready to go. Go ahead...call me. (Only $2.99 a minute)
Soon I'll go eat my last crappy meal in the crappy chow hall, in a crappy country. Someday Iraq will be a real boy, but for now he's just not ready to sit at the adult table.
Hopefully this will be my last LJ posting from Iraq, ever. Though I'll probably be back here in 2 years or less. Oh well...someones got to do it.
And to everyone that cares...I don't like K Burgers. I'm sorry but I can't live the lie anymore. I can eat one and be happy to not have choked on the blackened burnt parts, but thats it. I don't care to stand in line every time the Kiwanis drag out the meat wagon. I don't need them in my life to be happy. I know this hurts my status as a "P-Town Townie" but it had to be said.
