Mike Gordon, the huge-nosed, whiteboy-froed bassist of Phish, was recently arrested for some sort of pedophilia-related charge. Apparently, he thinks it's perfectly normal to be alone in an unlit, secluded boathouse at 1AM with a nine year old girl and a camera. His quote on the sitation is "I made a mistake in judgment, but I am not a pedophile." Right, Peewee. Everybody in America takes pictures of other people's children at 1AM, they just don't get caught.
Sometimes, I love being right. Hippies suck, and I, for one, am hoping that Gordon has "sensitive areas" treated ungently for the next 5-10 years in some seedy NYC prison. (This happened on Jones Beach after a show by "The Dead")
What was probably the dumbest about this whole f'd up situation is the choice of his "model." As if it weren't bad enough that he's off doing Jebus-knows-what with the child of someone who's prominent enough to be given a VIP/Backstage pass to a show by the unGrateful Dead, he went off with the daughter of one of the highest ranking Hell's Angels in America. Talk about stupid.
