Help With My Game?

Hey Friends,

I had an idea for a game that I've decided to create. If you have time and feel inspired, please feel free to send me any feedback you might have either positive or negative. All is welcome. Leave a comment here or email me at pyroccd@gmail.com

Thank you.

Here are some initial design ideas for the card backs.

I feel you on the graphic. I'm torn between 2 and 3.

I have given some thought to what this game might be like with different groups of people. I have made some assumptions about the player of the game, in that I assume that they at least want to play the game, and want to have a good time. I am also assuming that they have some sense of humor.

still...i have given thought to ways to make the game most enjoyable to everyone. I think the prompts vary in degree of difficulty to get a laugh out of someone. I hope to cover a wide range of senses of humor so that each card is sort of different in its difficulty based on the user.

I do think though that a person who is particularly unfunny might do well at the game. I think that if they play with funny people, hopefully the funny people will be skilled enough to even make the unfunny person laugh. I also believe that the things that the "unfunny" person writes down may sometimes be unexpectedly funny in a group of very funny players in that they may seem clearly different from the other responses.

All that said, I worry what the game would be like for someone who just isn't laughing at anything, and doesn't want to really try to make other people laugh...I would hope that this person, since they seem to not want to play, would just say they don't want to play. However, if someone did want to play but was very unskilled at making other people laugh. Hopefully, they would have enough funny laughing at the other things because at least they have a sense of humor and choose to be engaged, that they wouldn't mind loosing at a game like this.

i will still consider ways to make the game more "playable" to people regardless of their ability to make others laugh. However, that is sort of the skill set the game is exercising. Like finding ways to make someone who can't throw and has terrible accuracy enjoy playing darts.

I agree, I definitely don't think you need to make it for everyone or it wouldn't be a very good game! Just wanted to ask if you'd thought of it -- and it seems as though you have! Sounds pretty well thought out to me :)
