Tonight's ice cream

Peach with cardamom.

I peeled 8 peaches. Squeezed a meyer lemon on them. Added 2/3 c sugar. Pureed it with a hand blender. Tossed in a cardamom pod. Cooked it down until it reduced by about half. Forced it all through a tight strainer. Added a pint of cream and a little milk.

It's in the fridge now, and we'll put it through the ice cream maker tonight before dinner.

The rest of the menu: smoked bratwurst from Dittmer's, homemade sauerkraut, leftover cheddar/blue mac and cheese from last night.

Yes, we eat well over here.
