Planet: tba Avg. ht/wt: 7' from head to toe, 116lbs Sentience: yes Activity in space: moderate
Description: Nonn'h are highly industrious and fast-paced creatures, known for their adaptability and foot speed. Their accomplishments in both make them common in inter-species space crews or industry, as well as in sports and athletic competition. They are noted for having a modification for everything; they can tweak the systems or hardware of another species to suit their own abilities with relative ease. Many advances in prosthetics and reconfiguration are made by Nonn'han engineers.
Their adaptability extends to inter-species communication as well. Their height and flexible limbs offer chances for physical communication outside of bridging the language barrier. Many Nonn'h can find good jobs as translators or mediators onboard ships or diplomatic fields.
Nonn'h civilization is noted for having very little restriction on what one can and cannot do. Occupations aren't considered permanent, and that mindset makes it hard for most Nonn'h raised at home to keep a long-term spacer job without being coached. As natural free-running creatures, they are oftentimes claustrophobic, and will not work on ships with narrow halls or small rooms.
All Nonn'h have horns and thick bone plates covering most of their skull, originally used for combat and dominance. Similar bone growths are on the backs of their hands, used for shaving tree bark (their food source) and boxing away predators. Instead of many teeth, the inside of their mouth has two thick bones on the top and bottom jaw that help crush excess bark when trying to get to the gummy marrow.
Nonn'h are light and fragile, prone to bone breakage and joint pain when adjusting to different levels of gravity. The fastest speed clocked in by a Nonn'h was 63mph by runner Aldolo'oh.
