I was going to write a nice lengthy post here detailing the year that's gone but frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. That 101 things in 1001 days thing I started almost a year ago has floundered badly with me only actually suceeding so far in completing about two or three of them and failing several already. So I've hit it on the head and have decided instead to do 12 things in 12 months, which is a convenient sort of number and is quite do-able. So, here are my 12 things in 12 months for 2007:
- submit a short story for the Big Finish short story competition (deadline end of January).
- complete a draft of a novel.
- get back doing a fanzine of my own. I must, at least, publish Issue one of Head On (originally due June 06, ho-hum...) in 2007.
- read, on average, a book a week and write a short review, here, of each. So, 52 books in 2007.
- of these 52 books, six should be by an author I have never heard of, chosen solely on the basis of liking the front cover.
- finish reading JD Salinger's short stories.
- write a letter to JD Salinger and David Lynch.]
- go one whole month drinking no alcohol at all.
- have a meal at the Fat Duck (tasting menu, of course...).
- watch all 111 episodes of Babylon 5, all 96 episodes of Quantum Leap, and all 30 episodes (plus film) of Twin Peaks.
- learn to drive.
- top secret and classified. I could tell you what this is, but I'd have to kill you. : )
