The Mysterious Disappearance of Target's Plus Size Section, Explained

"Thankfully for fans of Target's plus size section, this isn't one of those times. A spokesperson for Target's public relations office told Jezebel that the plus size section isn't getting phased out; it's getting revamped.
Target is absolutely not exiting the plus-size business. Rather, our new spring styles - which will include a number of new contemporary options - have been delayed. They will arrive in stores this month.
We recognized the delay might spark a few questions. As such, we created a temporary sign for the plus-size department informing guests that new spring styles were on their way. Additionally, our store team members received communication so they could address questions and direct guests to Target.com for additional plus-size options.
I am so happy with this confirmation. Target's plus size section had the absolute best tank tops and tees (they were long enough, stretchy, substantial, but didn't stretch out during the day!). Hopefully the changes they're making involve less tents with owls and more actual on trend pieces. There are few things in the world more frustrating than walking into Target, walking by 8 miles of trendy, adorable, designer-inspired straight sized clothing, hoofing by the actually trendy maternity section, and ending up in the land of tent tops with squirrels or some crap on it. Come on, Target. We're rooting for you. We're all rooting for you.
