Canadian Target
Hello fats, specifically Canadian ones!
Just thought I'd post a little heads up for those of us who are excited for Target to be opening in Canada. Well, the first few stores have opened and while they carry sizes XS-XXL, and go up to 18s in some items, Target will not be bringing its true plus size clothing lines here. At first, I thought it had something to do with the stores still being in the "soft opening" phase and not fully stocked yet, but their twitter account confirmed that bringing plus sizes to Canada is not part of the plan. Of course, they say it's something they'll "consider," so we'll see how that pans out. There are, however, size 11 shoes, which is a big improvement on Zellers (the chain Target took over), so it's not all bad.
I took to twitter to crab. Their account is being actively monitored right now, and someone seems to be responding to many of the questions, so if the lack of plus sizes bothers you like it does me, now's a great time to let the company know!
