Help me shop, please?

I have some shopping to do for a wedding I'll be attending this May. I guess I'm down to two months, which should be a long time, but it's not very long at all when you have to order everything online. *sigh*

I have to buy two outfits. The first is an outfit for the wedding, which will be a daytime event. The level of formality is still "to be announced," so I'm guessing semi-formal.

The second outfit will be for a 1920s-inspired dinner, so I'm looking for a flapper dress that is not costume-y. Thank goodness the Gatsby movie is coming out, because that means that Art Deco is actually in fashion this season! I'm actually kind of excited, because who doesn't want an excuse to shell out for a flapper dress?!  I'm also nervous, because the flapper style isn't really intended for curvy figures.

These are my questions:
- I know you can't wear white to a wedding. Can you wear white/nude to a wedding-related-dinner?
- Is white OK at a wedding, if it's a white dress with a colorful print?
- I think you're not supposed to wear black to a wedding. Can you wear a black dress to a wedding-related-dinner?
- Do you have any ideas for how to do "20s inspired" without wearing a beaded shift dress?
- Where would you guys be looking for a semi-formal dress for a daytime spring wedding?
- If you feel like window-shopping, do you have any specific suggestions?

I'm 5'9, about 300 lbs, size 24. I'm very curvy all around: H cup, significant belly, big butt, big hips, big thighs.

So far, I have been looking at: Lands End, Coldwater Creek, Talbots, Nordstrom, Macy's, JC Penney, SimplyBe, Evans, Asos Curve, Modcloth, Lane Bryant, Avenue, Eloquii, Igigi, eShakti, Kiyonna, Dress Barn, 6 PM, and OneStopPlus.

I also will need to pick up shoes, and my shoe size is 12.5 wide. We all know that doesn't really exist, so that generally means a small 13 or a 12W that runs long.  If any bigfoot people want to commiserate, I'm all ears (all feet?) I shop for shoes at Zappos, Barefoot Tess, Avenue, and Nordstrom.
