OOT evening out and a review

Hello ladies!

I just did a purchase from Eloquii - it was on the day they had a 50% off tops sale. Two of the tops were fabulous, and one would have been fabulous if the sleeves had been a little longer.

The one that didn't work, sadly, was the 3/4 Sleeve Cutaway Neckline Shirt. I was hoping that the 18W would fit similarly to the size 18 Cutaway Neckline Shirt that I already own and love (in black and silver) that I posted an OOTD of in March. Well… not quite. The sleeves end just below my elbow rather than mid-forearm as is normal for a 3/4 sleeve, and if I unbutton the cuffs, it's still difficult to make it sit properly on my shoulders. Not a winner.

I do like the Studded Tunic Tee a lot. Make no mistake - this is okay for my office only on Fridays. But it's soft and comfy and perfect for a slightly chilly day where the office feels cold even with the heat on. I wore it without washing it first, but I will wash it cold and hopefully the fit won't change too much.

My favorite, though, is the Button-Sleeve Spacedyed Sweater. I love the butterfly-style, subtly banded-bottom tops, and I think they flatter me. Don't be fooled by the catalog picture, though - this is not a long-sleeved sweater, being open up the sides. I wore it with a bra-covering camisole when husband and I went to see Rogue Burlesque last night, and I will probably wear it with a black turtleneck in winter. 18/20 is a little large, but 14/16 would have been too small, I think.

And so, I bring you my outfit of the evening:

Taken by husband. Wearing the aforementioned Eloquii sweater with a camisole underneath, black Charter Club pants from Macy's (they have a nice smooth waist with a zipper and good pockets), and a pendant from Antika Nueva.

This is just to show the open sleeve. And I clearly need a full-length mirror; standing on a footstool in front of the bathroom mirror is suboptimal.

And another picture of the sleeve.
