chub rub testimonial, solution and product review. sorry, tl:dr

I whined mentioned on my blog that I used to hoard my solution to chub-rub: the "Slimming Skirt Liner" from Comfort Choice, which are basically the top from control-top pantyhose, and not "slimming" in any way unless you sized down. They were kinda perfect -- super super lightweight and breathable, didn't show under clothes, no "swamp ass" or sweating; plus, they held your fat STILL without trying to suck it IN. They had their challenges -- shitty fabric (they were sold 3 pair for $18 or something) that ripped and pilled easily, and they were never quite long enough and would often ride up throughout the day. This is, in fact, my problem with most of the thigh-chafing solutions I've seen here on Fats and in other places -- things are always TOO SHORT.

Well, OSP and affiliates stopped selling them earlier this year, so I had to wear my snagged pairs from last year all summer, which eventually became holes, including in the thighs. I hated getting dressed, because I knew I'd have to find a pair with the least amount of holes and maneuver them until I got them positioned just right, then spend half the day adjusting them and yanking them down. It got to the point where I started wanting to wear pants again (I even bought several pairs of jeans, because I didn't want to deal with this shit on the weekends).

I looked everywhere for something similar, but it's like the concept of a light, NON-RESTRICTIVE solution to thigh-chafing is unheard of. ANYWAY... for fuck's sake, why am I rambling?... someone mentioned that they got this pair of "bike shorts" from Kmart that actually turned out to not only be too long (like capri length) they also happened to be TIGHTS. I went on Kmart.com and found them, as well as a review that mentions that they were, in fact, TIGHTS and not regular lycra bike shorts. I went to Kmart the other day and bought a pair and, even if CC started selling their "skirt liner" today, I wouldn't go back. These LYS shorts are AMAZING.

My fat is held still, but not "slimmed." They are adjustable to capri-length -- today I am wearing them right above the knee and it's not binding or cutting off circulation whatsoever. I wear size 24/26, bought the 4X, and I got them on as easily as panties. I'm "strawberry" shaped with big legs/thighs and there is PLENTY of room in the 4X, so I might even try a few 3Xs. The material is SUPER soft and very opaque -- they are essentially capri-length tights (NOT LEGGINGS). Adjusting to capri-length will be great under long dresses/skirts in the fall when I don't want to be burdened with tights. Oh, and even though they don't look like it, they are high-waisted (I can get mine up to just below my bra).

Here is the link: LYS Bike Shorts. $8. 1X-4X.
They also come in LYS Footless Tights. $8. 1X-3X.

So, once again, sorry this is such a LONG review, but I'm super excited by these things and I'm going to buy a zillion pairs NOW, just in case they don't sell them again next summer (I hate how, as fat people, we have to do this -- so sorry in advance if you go to buy 4X and they are out of stock). Sucks that I didn't find out about them until almost the end of the summer... but having these makes it so much more PLEASANT to get dressed again.

Let me know if you get them and if they work out for you.
