Gynecologist follow up post
I had my appointment today, and thankfully, all my nervousness was for nothing.
The staff and the doctor were really nice and professional, never mentioned my weight at all, and didn't try to shame me in any way. They did their best to make me as comfortable as possible. (Pap smears are never /really/ comfortable, but you know what I mean.) The doctor did want to know what all my meds were for, (I take quite a few for someone my age,) and my blood pressure was high, but I had already told them I was nervous, so they knew why it was up.
In short, it went really well, so far everything is normal, (I'll know the results of the labwork on monday,) and I would totally recommend this doctor to anyone in the area.
So, if you live in the Houston Metro area, especially if you're in or near Pasadena, (Texas, not California,) and need a decent OB/GYN, her name is Dr Lisa F. Diaz, and her office is right next to Bayshore Hospital.
