Help me style a maxi, please!
Today, I made a spur of the moment stop at an outlet mall, wandered into the Bebe store, and picked up a maxi dress. Well, I was actually in there for sandals (generally one of the few items my size 22 butt can wear in that tiny-sized store), but I eyed some gloriously colorful and fabulous maxi dresses. . . which ended up being ridiculously stretchy. The XL had more than copious room for my copious curves AND it was priced down to $24. Don't mind if I do!
Anyway, now that I have this dress, I am sort of at a loss on how to style it. Naturally, the dress isn't on their site nor do I have a well lit, full length mirror to model it-- so, unfortunately, we'll have to make due with this beautiful camera phone picture.
The colors are still a bit off there: the pink is a super bright carnation/Barbie pink, the lime is less lime, more chartreuse.
FWIW: my personal style lends itself to the slightly more Kardashian-esque look (no better way to describe it). Think big gold jewelry, dramatic styling, perhaps a little more sexy. That said, I'd love to see how to wear this casually (but still nicely). I want a jacket, but I have no idea what kind of jacket to wear (other than, perhaps, a crop jacket). HELP! Jacket, accessories, shoes, help help help, my friends! :)
