Wedding jacket/shrug advice

In need some fashion advice and shopping help!
My good friend is getting married in March and I am putting together my wedding outfit :) I got the dress ages ago, it's this one
The wedding colors are purple and green, and purple is my favorite color, so I am thrilled with the dress. I have a vision for shoes already, But the problem is that I need some kind of jacket or shrug because 1) I'm not overly comfortable with my arms and 2) it's March in Indiana!
The wedding is a fairly formal ordeal - if you can't tell by my choice of wardrobe - so I'm struggling to find something just right. I of course already own a plain black knit shrug, but that seems too casual. But because the dress is really flowy and light and fun I also don't want something too heavy. I also don't even know what color to go with. My shoes will most likely be silver, if that makes a difference.
Size details - I'm a 22/24 on top. I have fairly narrow shoulders and big upper arms.

ETA: Since people were asking, the dress is from City Chic, here http://www.citychiconline.com/index.php/dresses/adrianna-sparkle-dress-purple-violet-l.html They have hiked the price way up - when I ordered it the list price was $72 and I got it during their half off sale.
