Feedback on flying American Airlines

Jul 04, 2011 10:58

Hi everyone! I recently flew on American Airlines from South America to the US, between US cities and back. I am 5'7 and do not know how much I weigh, but my measurements are 48-44-52.

My fat is pretty evenly distributed. The first flight was on a 767. Tight fit on the belt but OK. Seat OK, armrest down, no prob. Next , a 737, same thing. Finally, I flew an Embraer (operated by American Eagle), one of the smaller planes used for short distances.  Very tight fit both in the seat and the belt. I was in a single seat, but if I had been in the two seat area, the armrest probably would not have gone down. On the good side, as I boarded it, a man ahead of me nonchalantly asked for a seat extender and the flight attendant equally nonchalantly opened a little cubicle and handed him one. Emboldened by their attitudes, I asked the flight attendant for one as well, but he told me "Nah, you won't need one. If you do, holler."  I did not need one because it was a short flight, but on a longer flight I could have used it.

Hope this helps! :-)
