Is there anything you can do to counteract the excess estrogen--some kind of hormone maybe?
I assume they mean once you get over the hump of losing however much weight, it'll be more beneficial to your health but it is ironic that doing so is hurting you as well.

Ugh, hormones. :( I wonder if bioidentical progesterone would help you at all? It tends to counter estrogen somewhat. The other thing that comes to mind is phytoestrogen. Basically, eat a lot of soy. Phytoestrogens fill the estrogen receptors, but have a slightly weaker effect on the body.

I hope things ease soon. **hugs** Fucking endometrium. I swear it does whatever it wants.

Love the piercing and the blue hair. That dress looks fantastic on you, too.

Soy is actually not recommended to endo sufferers. I was taking a soy supplement and my pain got worse. Couldn't figure out why until I read the soy-endo connection. It's believed that the phytic(sp?) acid can trigger a reaction.

I'd not heard of endometriosis before, so I did a search on it, and all I can say is, ouch. That absolutely cannot be nice.

Yeah, right? How ironic. I'd definitely say you should have a chat with your doctor about ways of countering the pain. Fattie or not, every effort should be taken to stop you from being in pain.

And yes, like the above commenter said, hormonal medications seem to be a frequently-used form of treatment, so maybe look into that?

And I just had to say, that blue hair is AWESOME.

I know how you feel. When I started losing weight, my endo got to flaring up so bad, I went in for a laparoscopy only for them to find no VISIBLE endo. It sucks. And so does your doctor.

That happened to me, except they found lots of scarring outside of my uterus from where endo had been. So strange.
