Bra post #10932

I've been looking through the bra-tagged posts for the last hour and a half and couldn't find what I was looking for. I need some advice about bras. (I even found one of my old posts about bras dated almost a year ago!)

For reference, I think I wear a 46C. That's the size I'm wearing now, but the underwire is digging into my armpits. ( Read more... )

I live in Monmouth County! Yayyyy!

Anyway, I've never had a fitting here in MonCo, but there is a little bra shop in Stone Harbor, NJ that was just AWESOME. Unfortunately, the shops there are *extremely* seasonal and Winter just ain't their season, so I don't know if it would be open.

If you get to take a South Jersey adventure and end up in the Sea Isle/Avalon/Stone Harbor/Wildwoods area, it would be on the bay side of 96th street, like a half a block north. Of course, I don't remember what it's called, but they put me in a bra that made me look two sizes smaller in my waist because it actually fit correctly and put my boobs in a better place.

You should try Bra Fancy in Matawan.

I'll try it! All my friends from the Ocean County area say Bra & Girdle Factory in Lakewood or where ever it is, but really...Bra & Girdle Factory???

Haha, everyone in the city recommends Orchard Corset but I went and had a dreadful experience. It's probably pretty individual. If you ask me, NOTHING beats bravissimo but you have to go to England for that so....

Bra and Girdle Factory. Check. Although I don't think I can say it with a straight face. :p

It's a stupid name but I have stopped there on my way from philly to monmouth county and it is so worth it. They were nice to me, didn't make me feel uncomfortable about my size, and they have a huge selection of sizes.

Also, they will do alterations, like adding an extra row of hooks if that would make it fit better.

OMG, there used to be a Bra & Girdle on Rt. 70 in Marlton or Cherry Hill AND one in Nortfield/Linwood on Rt. 9!

Now there is a "Chrysi's Bra Boutique" in Cherry Hill; a good hour or so from Monmouth but it's something: http://local.yahoo.com/info-10875033-chrysi-s-bra-boutique-cherry-hill

Er, duh. I dunno why I thought it was called bra fancy. I just came across a coupon I have around and it's called Bra Savvy. Total brain fart. Sorry! But it's still really great. Promise.

Yay for Monmouth County! I love visiting family up there, but sadly only make it up there for Thanksgiving now. I really miss going to the beach, too. :(

I'll have to look into that bra shop you mentioned. I can pretty much bet I've got the biggest boobs in the family, but maybe I can talk some of my aunts and cousins into a bra adventure. :D
