I know we've grumbled and eyed our pitchforks when oldnavy.ca didn't have plus-sizes available for purchase. I'm still angry about that ( Read more... )

Ah, that figures that they're adding on the duty and such. They use UPS for shipping and you can't ship *anything* international through UPS without all the paperwork. O_o Which is why both the Husband and I will only ship international through the post office. ^_^

yeah, you wouldn't believe the places I can't shop due to them only using UPS or FEDEX. I had to return an item to a US company by mail due to defect. I had to emphatically tell them not to ship my replacement back by UPS, their normal carrier. Hopefully they'll remember to do that when it's time to ship.

Noooooo! Not UPS!!!! (shakes fist at sky) Why?????? I won't shop with any company that does not use the postal service (USPS/Canada Post). I've gotten burned by UPS and Fedex. I called once and asked UPS how they justified their ridiculous brokerage fees and the woman said "Well, we do the paperwork for bringing your item into the country" and I said "Yeah, so does USPS and they charge $5.00!".

First of all I'm not in Canada. I AM excited that Canadians can now buy from oldnavy.com, but... I agree with you 100% about the quality. Even without high priced shipping and duties, it's just not good enough! Oh there might be a good item here and there, but the sizing seems random, and I can't tell anything about the quality from the pictures of the items on the website. I've been disappointed with 95% of the items I've ordered... so much so I quit shopping there. :(

I've actually had really good old navy luck. I'm not sure why, but there ya go! but yeah, as much as I like the clothes I buy from there, they're not worth that much. I'm not willing to pay double the price of an item just so I can get it now as opposed to waiting a few months until I visit family.
