Sketchers Shapeups

Has anyone tried the Sketchers Shapeups? I'm more interested in the posture/toning than the potential for weight loss. Most of the reviews I've read on them claim they're the the best shoe evar, but I'm sure there's got to be a downside to them (other than price. I have a really hard time spending $100 on shoes

I got a pair a few months ago, and absolutely LOVE them! I primarily wanted to try them for the posture bit (I have scoliosis and was always slouching), and to see if they could help my ankle/knee pain... They work wonders! For the past few years, I've loathed walking any great distance because of the pain in my joints, but these have greatly improved how I walk, even how I stand (there's the posture improvement!) I even did a little unexpected hiking in them this past weekend and came away with far less soreness than I would have expected. (They're definitely not meant for hiking in my opinion, at least not on rough, extremely uneven terrain. Others may disagree. Iono.) I've even started wearing them around the apartment, while washing dishes/cleaning/etc

I was actually looking at the mary janes. They're just more my style of shoe :) I'll have to find somewhere around that sells more than just the white sneakers.

The shoe store I was in the other day when I was looking at them had their own brand as well. They were half the price, but they didn't have as much support in the insole, so even at half the price, I wouldn't bother. I don't remember the brand, but the store was Shoe Show.

Where did you get yours in TO? I've been looking for the mary janes but haven't had any luck.

Sketchers store @ Eaton Centre. I was actually looking at a pair of black sneakers, but they didn't have my size available (11)... Then the salesguy brought out the mary janes... LOVE!
