OOTDH (outfit of the desert hike)

Apr 17, 2009 00:57

My family and I went hiking in the desert this week and so cool, movable, and of course, within the realms of an Jewish religious dress code was the goal.  Please pardon the exhausted look at the badly tied head wrap- it was the end of the day and we had been out in the desert for about 5 hours when I thought to snap this picture.  It looked a lot better when we started the day!

Also, yes I know the shoes look terrible- but it was nto really a choice thing so much as a these are what  I wear for hiking sort of thing.

Skirt SWAK designs
Shirt nothing fancy- Discreet

For the record, I love the skirt and how I feel in it.  This is a more typical look for it when I am not worried about melting.

skirt, same as above,
white shirt fossil
tank SWAK
shoes are favourite NAOT.  They are supremely comfortable and as I do a lot of walking they are my main foot friends.

All jewelery is my own and headscarves are from random local shops- mostly the bus station in Jerusalem.
