Fat tribal belly dancing?

Hi! So here's my question. I really want a tribal belly dancing costume, but I am 1) poor (why is this stuff so frakkin' expensive?!) and can't really sew, and 2) I have boobies and can't find a pre-made bra top that's larger than a 34 B, which is annoying ( Read more... )

Hello,

I have been lurking for a bit. Hanging around, getting the feel of the place. I was wondering, have you attended any of the events for belly dancers around the So Cal/Los Angeles area? Many, many vendors are there selling their wares. The dancing is great and its fun to meet new people!

I used to dance many years ago and was involved with a group of fat dancers called The Fatimas. They are sill active and dance at various BBW events. I helped with making some of their costumes. What I am trying to say is that I am a plus size designer and have a workshop/showroom in So Cal. I am in the process of setting up my bellydance website for all sizes, S-XL and 1x-5x. I design and make various options of flare pants, cholis and skirts. I have some plus sizes in stock but most of it sells out very quickly. Hmmm, I wonder why?!?

Anyway, I'm not sure if I have been helpful but if you would like to visit my workshop, let me know. I have some pics of my size Medium model, but Im not sure how to post a pic yet. Also, I'm always looking for new faces. If there are any belly dancers who would like to model, let me know. Thanks for reading.

I wish I'd gone to events, but I am like, the biggest slacker when it comes to publicly showing my support of belly dancing and stuff. I'd love to see your website once it's up, and I'll ask my (significantly more photogenic) belly dancing friends about the modeling.
