Me too! I've used the gel inserts that you attach to the heel, but they seem to peel off easily. The moleskin ones help prevent blisters, but the shoes still slip easily.
I'm hoping someone around here has some good advice.
I think some brands work better than others for those gel things. I've used them before and didn't have the peeling off problem. They worked pretty well for me in a pair of shoes that was too big in the heels.
OMG thank you for posting that link. I looked everywhere for some of those foot petal products last summer and couldn't find them everywhere. You are officially my hero of the day.
Glad to oblige. The same brand, Foot Petals, also makes an off brand they sell at Target -- sort of the way that Spanx is Assets at Target -- but I can't remember what they're called.
Fab Feet. They live with the shoelaces and polish and stuff in the store. I know this because I have an extra package or two lying around, I stocked up last time I saw them since they seem to be out of stock often. I love them, they really do work great, stay stuck and don't get all gross and pilly like some I've tried, and I love that they are black.
there are nice squishy insert-thingies like posted above, you can also just stack up the band-aides, or wrap your heel in a tensor bandage. I have the same wide ball of my foot, narrow heel combo you have and I have done all of those things.
I've tried band-aides, but they always rub off. I never thought of trying a tensor bandage...I do have some compression stockings around here somewhere... maybe cutting them down to sock length would work with my sneakers... might be worth a shot. Thanks!

They're the best back-of-the-heel cushions I've found. You could also apply moleskin directly to your feet.

out, but I decided to try something...
I had them stretched at a cobbler. It cost $6, and it may be one of the best $6 purchases I ever made.
