New clothes: OotDs!

Sep 21, 2008 13:26

It's raining like anything at the moment, so I'm taking the time before I venture out into it (dinner party yay!) to upload some OotDs.

This outfit I purchased entire in Japan apart from the stockings and shoes. I love how the skirt has ties over the shoulders to create a bit more interest. I generally tie them so they're straight suspenders in front and crossed over in the back.

Jersey knit charcoal suspender skirt: Fannipink (Japanese!)
Olive turtleneck: Uniqlo
Belt: Suzutan (Japanese brick-and-mortar store with plus section)
Stockings: We Love Colors
Shoes: NineWest (AU)

I love the skirt, but it's a touch too big, so I need the belt to hold it up. I'm planning to stitch a couple of tucks in the waistband.

This is the dress that theoryofgravity purchased and I imagine sent everyone rushing off to that eBay seller. I like mine, although the colour isn't something I'd usually wear, and the ruffles make it a hell of a lot of dress, but the sweater is a good way of dressing it down. Also I love using the ribbon as a waist belt.

Dress: lily0808168 (eBay)
Grey v-neck: Uniqlo
Belt: Came with the dress
Necklace: Bleu et Ecru (Japanese jewellery store)

I bought a lightweight short trench coat yesterday! A WINNER IS ME! It'll be great when I return to Brisbane, which doesn't have much in the way of a winter, and I'm sure I'll get a lot of use for it in autumn here in Japan. Plus, cheeeaaap (about $60).

Trench: Jusco (Japanese department store)

And I need some advice on this tunic; I bought it a while ago and I like it, but the material is really thin and it's shorter than what I'd usually wear. Any advice on how to make the most of it?

It's me! Plus, neckline close-up).
