Since it’s still a thousand fucking degrees here, I decided to try on new clothes that I’m looking forward to wearing this fall.

A warning to anyone contemplating this dress: I'm not crazy about the length, and it looks like it's impossible to hem without losing the lace trim on the bottom. I'm 5'10, all leg, and usually Igigi dresses are on the short side on me, but this is below the knee.

My first pencil skirt: Lane Bryant (18). The back is beautiful, but there was no one around to take a picture for me.

Feathered headband: Gaia Trove on Etsy. It arrived four days before that whiney pain in the ass Kenley from Project Runway wore hers and ruined it for me. Just my luck.
And this is what I wore to this evening’s hair cut appointment: my new Jane Bonbon dress (size: me).

And here it is after (though it won’t look like that ever again - my stylist puts a lot of effort into blowing it out, but I am strictly wash-and-wear):
Despite the face-melting heat, I tried my new Bare Escentuals foundation (thanks to all who chimed in with advice about it - I think it’s working okay for me so far) and MAC eye makeup. I am head-to-toe new for Fall!
