OOTD and lots of reviews: Target, belt from Etsy's Iamerica, eBay corset, Lolita-esque skirts...

So I’ve been doing a healthy amount of shopping lately (my justification: the economy needs my help). I went out for martinis last night and decided to play dress up and play around with some new stuff. Plus when I’m mulling an article of clothing I do like to see it on a non-model body, so maybe I can help some of you decide.

lots of photographic evidence of my recent shopping sprees; corset might be considered NSFW )

dresses, ootd, target, ebay, online shopping, reviews, successful shopping trips, raves

Muahahaha -- I am a fatshion enabler! I shouldn't be spending the money either, but as you say if it's for something I love and know I'll get a lot of use from, I like to take advantage of a sale.

I think that charcoal dress is yummy and wish they still had it in my size. I might do an "in search of" post for it one of these Fridays! And what the heck -- if you don't like it you can always return it, right? :-)

So a while back I posted a loooong review of the the grey portrait collar dress here:

http://community.livejournal.com/fatshionista/2850380.html

I don't have too many things from them, but I am finding that Igigi runs large (maybe it's because they use an actual size-18 fit model instead of just supersizing everything?). I'm an 18 in most places but ended up with a 16 in that dress; however, it's a bit big, and I probably should have gone down to 14 (but I was impatient and wanted to wear it that week). On the order I just placed I got a 14 in the black trench dress, a decision that was dictated by the fact that the 16 was sold out, but I'm hoping the 14 will be right. The green wrap dress was a 14/16 and fit well -- my problem with it was the fabric and cut, not the sizing.

I was eyeing the pencil skirt, but that's the kind of item I really need to try on. Plus I have one arriving from Torrid any day. Let us know if you get it and like it?

Yes, you are an enabler, thanks!! My Target order shipped today. $100 worth of dresses. Stop me!!!

I am really considering the Trench dress after reading your review, I will probably order a size 20. I can see wearing it this fall with my knee boot or pumps. Now, I am worried about my items that I already ordered being too big. Oh well, I'll figure it out when my things arrive in a week. I, also, ordered the lace red blouse, I can see wearing a red flower in my hair with it. lol Igigi shipping is really slow.
