Today seems to be advice day

so here's my question:  can you help me wrap my hair up to look like




I've searched online and have found many pics but no detailed how-to instrux.  My mother wore her hair in a wrap like this ages ago, but sadly, her memory is going and she can't recall how it was done.

I'd especially appreciate suggestions for the length and width of  the fabric.
