Re: Iron Man 2, I thought it was far less fun than the first, because they didn't let Stark/Robert Downey Jr. have has much fun. For the bulk of the film, he's either depressed because he's dying, or just plain mean. That set a tone that I was never able to recover from. Maybe I'll enjoy the Avengers movie more now that he's back in form.

I still say Iron Man 2 was more fun and consistent than Thor was. Still, I'm not about to say it's as good as the first Iron Man movie. While the plot stopped Robert Downey Jnr from doing so much fun stuff, I think part of that was sheer number of characters he shared screen time with. I thought they got to do a pretty good job with the trial scene though.
