Semi Free Meal
Went for a birthday gathering with my JC mates.
Out the group of ppl whom I jio (abt 8 ppl), 4 of them had birthday in this month. Oni 5 ppl can turn up for the dinner (including myself). I oni realise 30 mins before the meeting time tat the other 4 ppl who r able to turn up r the birthday gals/guys... I suddenly dread going to the gathering.. cos it means I have to give 4 of them a treat! (its our group habit)
Since Im the organiser, nevertheless I went with a heavy mood... (bo bian, this month quite leong). We went for dinner at this Thai restaurant which I shall not name. Each of them ordered a drink... I was quite reluctant to order for myself cos each drink cost 4.90... But I cant appear too niao... Starting to regret coming to this gathering while I was busy doing mental calculation. After the heavy meal, they proceed to order 2 desserts. When we ask for the bill, I was expecting the meal to cost abt 100 bucks. But the bill only showed 24.85! We were jammed. After studying the receipt, we realise the restaurant oni charge us the drinks n desserts. The 4 of them ran off while I settle the bill at the counter. Was relieved when the waitress at the counter realli charge me 24.85 bucks. I walked realli fast as I leave the restaurant.
This was realli my lucky day... My frens offered to return me their share but I turn them down since the meal is not costly. But I started to think could we be in gotcha? Or could it be plain blurness of the trainee waiter who took our order? Watever it is, I still tan dio. :)
