Gone for a while
As of November 27, I will be in Topeka, Kansas for 2-3 months (at least end of January)... The reason for this is Goodyear's Tire Division is on strike, so they need scab workers to make tires,,, I am going to be one of those scabs.
Goodyear is paying the following: airfare there, $200 a week for food and expenses, hotel stay, shuttle to and from hotel and plant everyday, $13/hr (+$2/hr for staying thru January), close to 60 hours a week.
At the end of my "tour", I should have enuf money to get a decent car and get myself out of debt. Unfortunately, I will miss New Year's and everything else that happens with my friends while I am gone... Therefore, there will be a party at the apartment on Saturday, November 25 (2 days after Thanksgiving,) Hopefully, everyone can make it.
BTW I will have a laptop with me, so I will still be in touch.
