ROAD TRIP!
Tomorrow is the day! I've been waiting a month for this, and my anticipation has been building everyday. We are going on a photo trip, to explore the wilds and environs of the Wisconsin river area. T and N will be capturing art in the wild, while I try my own hand at photography, and enjoy communing with Nature. T says that I have some talent, and I have taken some good shots in the past, but I hold no illusions; she is the true star here. I do my best to ask for assistance and opinions when necessary but believe me, I know my limitations. I consider any instruction I get from her as "sitting at the feet of the master."
Of course, the best part of a road trip is stopping at a convenience store, buying and eating piles of junk, drinking bottles of carbonated teeth-rot, and singing along to good tunes along the way. That is what I live for! (I suppose the relaxation of the normal restraints is what makes a roadtrip so sweet!)
T and I are both burning CD's specifically for tomorrow, and we will have a music duel of who has the best songs. There are rules as well: The songs must be ones we can all sing along to. No obscure pieces. No long instrumentals. We are both curious as to which songs will be repeated between the two of us. Since each of us has been closed mouthed about our selections, i am looking forward to hearing some good stuff. I am sure that one of her songs will be "Pink Cadillac" and/or "Respect" by Aretha Franklyn. I will counter of course with a nice selection of classic rock, pop, funk and R&B including, "Play that Funky Music White Boy", by Wild Cherry, "Hotel California" by the Eagles, and "Mony Mony" by Billy Idol.
