When something is broken, normally you throw it out. When something doesn't work you get rid of it. But what if you yourself are broken? Do you get rid of yourself? Throw your life away? It's probably, like, four days too late for this, but encouragement over time always helps, yes?

At least it should.

Um, everyone has basically said it. My friend, suicide isn't about being selfish or about being selfless. And don't listen to those people (or whatever "logic") who tell you that people who love you are being selfish for wanting to keep you around. The whole idea that the people who love you are preventing you from doing what you want to do is just...

It's as American as assuming that life has no meaning because you don't succeed by society's terms. Because it assumes that you have control over your life and should be able to do what you want with it. Life isn't about being in control or about living to materialistic standards. There are higher purposes, and honestly, the place you fulfill makes you closer to those higher standards. God came to the world to love sinners, after all, and redemptive suffering is considered one of the best graces you can get.

Think about it; life is the best when you're living it for others. Look at all the suggestions made by the variety of friends you have; even the non-Christians suggest doing things that benefit others to make life meaningful. So there must be some Truth in that understanding that a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.

I dunno...I hardly have all the answers. But I wish you the best of luck in your life.
