Mattie got as a gift a subscription to this remarkable magazine, Poets & Writers. I'm not one for how-to-write magazines--they seem to spend an inordinate amount of time telling you you don't know what you're doing--but there are some remarkable articles in this one.
It's been sitting on our bathroom floor for some time now, the angry, expectant eye of Percy Everett staring me down, but I didn't know what she was talking about this evening when she said, "1,000 journals ...."
She wouldn't tell me; she only opened the magazine to the article and handed it to me. AWESOME.
