Just got back from Episode 3, and all I have to say is that was hot shit. Better than 1 and 2, but still not compareable to 4, 5, and 6. But that was to be expected. Great movie.
My favorite of all of them is Empire. This one comes close to being as good as Return of the Jedi, but not quite as good. And I thought ANH was better than Jedi but not as good as Empire.
If the acting wouldn't have been so wooden, and if the editing was better (some of it went by way too fast), I would say it's better than RotJ, but the acting was just terrible. Hayden Christensen didn't convince me that he's the most powerful being in the galaxy there at the end, and his hatred wasn't convincing enough.
Dude. you ahve the same opinion as EVERY OTHER STAR WARS NERD out there. expand your mind. you know ep 3 was darker, had better acting, story, special effects, fighting and wriiting than ep 5.
but it was missing han solo... so it loses some points from 5.
Better acting? I'm sorry but no. It was darker, had better special effects, and had better fighting, but that doesn't make it a better movie. As for the story, it's hard for me to judge RotS on it's own since I already knew everything that was going to happen since i've seen 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, and when I first saw Empire it was all new to me, so the revelation that Darth Vader was Luke's father just blew me away, obviously. I suppose if I judge each of them on their own, RotS would win with the story
( ... )
my quick take on it
