...Having a son means realizing that there is something in the world that is more important than anything else, no matter what. Having a daughter would be very much the same, I've no doubt.
I feel this way even when not thinking of him. With his birth, I finally had a family. Even if he'd not become such a wonderful person, I'd owe him forever for that.

He was so warm, we were at first certain that he had a fever. We kept wondering if we should give him looser clothing, if one of us should stay by his side to fan him... But as time went, holding that warmth against our hearts became the most reassuring feeling in the world.
