I've recieved all the approval from my chain-of-command to make my move out of the 207th AVN SCTS and into the brand-spanking new LRSD (Long Range/Light Recon Surveillance Detatchment) for the BFSB (BattleField Surveillance Brigade). I'm really damn good at PT, but I've got A LOT of work to do to prepare myself for Ranger Spec-Ops school next winter. A 68% attrition rate for Ranger school is somewhat disheartening, but it's definitely what I'm all about. I live for that stuff.
And Friday morning I fly down to Spokane for the weekend to visit peeps I haven't seen in years, and to run in the annual Spokane Lilac Bloomsday Race. A little 12K race with tons of bands and performers along the route. I haven't ran in it since I was 11 with my parents.
