Rene Aramis never checked out of the Langham Hotel. He merely left his keycards and a crisp one hundred dollar bill on the dresser, with a note in his hand that his wife had been found, so he was departing Boston.
Two days after she had been recovered at the airport by Adam, a very composed Mrs. Aramis went into the Boston office of the very old financial institution that Aramis has kept his money in for centuries, and chatted with the eager employee while she emptied the safe deposit box her husband had opened when they got to Boston. She also transferred money from savings to checking, all with a signed power of attorney from her husband, who had returned to France and his missionary work.
She also rented an SUV, on an open lease, and had put a number of miles on it. Then she took the Soho Suite at The Colonnade Hotel downtown. Alexa would have normally preferred a hotel like The Eliot, with it's pretty florals and canopies, but others liked the bright colors of the newer hotel.
But she didn't tell Adam, yet. He had her at his house, tucked away for safety. He had to teach, and had left her there to read or walk the grounds. By the time he would return, she would have already been shopping, and taken care of the business that a good wife should do.
OOC: Due to a real life emergency, the story is shifting fully to Alexa. It will be assumed that Aramis returned to France, and gave his wife power of attorney to handle money and conduct his business. Of course...we all know better, don't we? :)
